10 Signs Your Roof Needs Attention

A roof problem is easier to deal with when you catch the clues early. These signs do not prove that a roof needs replacing, but they do justify a closer look.

1. A damp patch that follows rain

Note where the mark appears and whether it follows wind from a particular direction. Water can travel along felt, timber or plaster, so the indoor stain may not sit directly below the entry point.

2. Daylight in the loft
